Situated on the Rhône Delta, Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône is a favourite destination for many yachtsmen, Port Napoléon is mid-way between Spain and Italy with the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia on the horizon.
Together the marinas in this town can accommodate over 2000 boats, including spaces on land or in the water at Port Napoléon. Besides that there are a variety of marine companies which specialise in boat repairs, -maintenance and –materials.
There is a huge 10 km white sandy beach which is known internationally as the spot for kite surfing throughout the year and is visited in the summer by many sun tourists.
Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, a historic spot in the Camargue, is well known by nature lovers. It provides a home to a wide range of special vegetation and protected animals (amongst others wild swans, pink flamingos, beavers and ducks). Because it is situated within the Delta of the Rhône, it is a much-loved spot by anglers, who fish for the many shellfish and local fish varieties.
